Oh Ramadan has arrived dear ones

Bringing blessings as it knocks on our door

The full moon shines over our home

And worries see it and walk away

So lets hang decorations

On the rooftops of our loved ones and neighbors

Come on lets welcome Ramadan

The dearest guest has come to us

Peace peace welcome welcome

Come closer come near

No quarrels during Ramadans daylight

Why argue or run away

Lets walk and join in prayers

Perform ablution and pray Tarawih

Lets spread goodness in our hearts

And visit our family and friends

Oh time rejoice for you have reached greatness

Ramadan has honored you with its presence

Its crown shines upon your forehead

For in it the Quran was revealed

Oh bringer of glad tidings Ramadan

I prayed at every call to prayer

To fill my eyes with your lanterns

And complete the Quran in your nights

The melodies of Naqshbandi and religious hymns

The cannon firing into the breeze

And the Mesaharati calling out

O sleeper wake up Weve waited long enough
